OBJECTIVES
Our objectives are: · To promote higher education through distance learning and other traditional means to the needy communities of African descendants, indigenous peoples and other ethnic minorities; · To support capacity building and general education at all levels and across the various sectors of the society and the economy; · To provide a forum for Caribbean scholars and educators to present papers and research projects relating to the advancement of Caribbean cultural, social, economic, and educational achievement; · To promote the exchange of cultural expression globally to benefit the peoples of the Americas, Africa, and elsewhere through educational experiences for students, educators, and other professionals, and through technology exchange; · To support research designed to provide data and new information on various aspects of the Caribbean, Africa, and the Americas; · To support the publication of research on the Caribbean and the Diaspora worldwide; · To foster the cultural, social, economic, and educational well being of the Caribbean immigrant community in the United States by supporting multi-culturalism and diversity in education for the community-at-large; · To provide scholarships and fellowships for students and distinguished scholars, to enhance, expand and advance intellectual productivity.
